The straight bar shoe is often the go to therapeutic shoe for a number of injuries and pathologies. This shoe is easily fabricated from a standard machine made shoe with a pre-cut weld in straight bar insert. This is a useful shoe to provide stability to the heels and rigidity to the hoof capsule when combined with pour in packing materials or impression compound. It is a useful for shoe for stress fractures and cracks of the hoof wall and some cases of sheared heels. The recess in the back of the performance bar aids in avoiding shoe loss.
