Drill Tek is a composite rod of tungsten carbide particles set in a brass/nickel matrix.
We stock 2 sizes of Drill Tek, regular (8-10 mesh) and heavy (4-6 mesh). This product is brazed onto the horseshoe with either a forge or an oxy/acetylene welding torch. Skill is required for proper application.

Borium© is a trademark name of Stoody Company.  Borium© is made of finer particles of tungsten carbide encased in a steel tube.  Borium© must be applied to the horseshoe with an Acetylene welding unit and requires a skilled farrier to apply.
