The Tradition Low Toe 4mm meets current HISA safety rules, including the shoeing rules allowing a maximum 4mm toe insert for hind shoes on dirt tracks. The Royal Kerckhaert Horseshoe Factory worked overtime in the fall to get the #Tradition LT (4mm) hind shoes with toe clip produced and Spanish Lake Blacksmith Shop has them in stock in sizes 3 through 7.

The Tradition style evolved from the Kings Plates for track shoers that preferred a slightly narrower front pattern and heel width and nail holes that were a bit finer and spread out.  The finer nail pattern and width allow the shoes to be fit tighter and still be nailed comfortably. This suits a more traditional shoeing style. There are 6 nails holes on front shoes and 5 on Hinds.
